The Halloween Spectacular “Puppets Come Home” show.

Celebrating “HALLOWEEN” usually means getting dressed to the hilt in scary costumes and ransacking the neighbors for all their candy! This night, PUPPETS COME HOME celebrated by making the show a veritable horn-of-plenty entertainment ‘candy for the mind’ evening and situated in the arts venue Teatro Sea located in New York City’s Lower East Side.

Hosted and produced by Brendan Schweda (a rather handsome chap)!

The evening’s entertainment began with VapeKid Jr., whose surreal puppet artistry immediately captivated the audience and set a whimsical, dazzling tone for the night’s lineup.

Tom Tuka made a memorable entrance, emerging from a suitcase packed with puppets. What followed was a delightful, visually stunning journey—an animated adventure that charmed and enchanted the audience from start to finish.

From cardboard box to center stage: Vinh G. Nguyen‘s “Care Free Pupputry” captured hearts with their delightful simplicity. Who knew such visual charm could emerge from such humble beginnings?

Chemical X + Muna M. Muhsin shook up the house with a multimedia projection performance that struck the futuristic nerve of all participants on this great earth.

Brian Carson and his beloved puppet companion, Silly Willy, captivated the audience with a mesmerizing blend of magic tricks and imaginative puppetry. What made the performance truly special was the remarkable relationship between puppeteer and puppet—Silly Willy felt like an extension of Brian’s personality, yet somehow maintained a distinct character all his own. This seamless duality created moments of pure delight, as the audience found themselves enchanted by a puppet that was both entirely connected for and wonderfully independent from his creator. It was this magical balance.

The PUPPET COME HOME producer/MC, Brendan Schweda, also showed off some imaginative performance skills in between all his other duties that night.

While most puppet shows travel light, the Must Be Nice puppeteers prove that portability doesn’t mean sacrificing spectacle. Their production transformed the space into a genuine scene-stealing theatre, complete with spooky atmospherics and a delightfully monstrous character that thrilled the audience. Equal parts enchanting and eerie, this performance delivered visual drama and pure entertainment—puppetry at its finest.

Born on the gritty streets of Cleveland, NatePuppet‘s journey to puppetry is a testament to raw creative determination. It takes discipline, sacrifice, and an unstoppable drive to transform tough beginnings into theatrical magic—and NatePuppet embodies all three. This wildman of a performer channels his personal struggles and hard-won skills into an electrifying experience that’s part chaos, part artistry, and all heart. The result? A rollicking, high-energy performance that captivates anyone lucky enough to witness it. This is puppetry forged in fire—unapologetically bold and utterly unforgettable.
