Gustavo Pace
I have been photographing Gustavo for quite a few years now. I shot one of his first performances in NYC in 2011.
He has been dedicated and very busy. Here is a glimpse of his bio:
He attended a full two years course at AMDA – American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York. Graduated in acting with a Master of Fine Arts from The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University.
Gustavo Pace was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for Theater/Acting. He obtained the Extraordinary VISA for Arts, based on shows and theater activities performed in the United States and Brazil.
He is now performing his new ‘original’ play “Naked Brazilian“. Written, and performed by him. Directed by Stephen Brown-Fried.
We went walking around NYC yesterday and I did some shots to capture the mood of this play. Here is the description:
“Struggling against his father’s wishes to become a lawyer, a young man journeys from Rio to NYC to make a case for his own destiny.”
Gustavo Pace arrives in NYC with a Brazilian flag and his suitcase.
Hurtled into the train station with doubts and concerns for what the future holds in this grand city.
