Bindlestiff Open Stage Variety Show – Quarantine Edition – May 18th, 2020

Host Keith Nelson introduces the acts of tonight’s show.

Magic man Torkova performs two different amazing feats. One with multiplying candles and the second producing two bowls of oranges.

Erin Stephens performs a very skilled juggling set in a beautiful studio setting.

Patrick Garner performs a ‘tribute’ to Senior Wences ‘one-handed’ ventriloquism act

Stephanie Monseu models the ‘Top Chatter’ banner awarded to Angleo Iodice.

Fernanda Sumano performed a high energy hula-hoop act that allowed us to follow her through the house she was performing into the street and then the roof!

Wilfredo sang a lovely song for the viewers which included the ever-present “I”.

Bindlestiff Open Stage Variety Revue MC Keith Nelson.

Torkova performs two magic illusions. One of which was the ‘classic’ linking rings.

Argenus Ramlogan performed a wonderful ‘diablo’ set with many lovely moves.

Keith attempts to ‘roll’em’ and get a stacked set of dice.

 Anatolia FireGoddess mesmerized the audience with her crystal ball act.

Josh Bisker moved from stagehand to performer in front or and with audience participation.

Keith performed the wonderful ‘spinning top’ routine.

Shayna Sara Golub was enchanting on the silks.

Jennifer Kovacs performed a lovely aerial act.

Tanya Solomon created a never-ending stream of salt from her hand after pouring only a small bottle into it.

Keith works on another traditional vaudeville juggling act.

Colin and Shane Miclon do some amazing cigar box juggling routines.

Another great night of Variety arts at Dixon Place! We had such a wonderful time. The evening’s performances included many magicians and jugglers. Here are the photographs and a few videos from the event! Come next month and enjoy NY’s best show for variety arts.

Bindlestiff Open Stage Hosted by Keith Nelson

Keith opened the show will a wonderful lasso act. (with Cowboy hat!)

Jean-Tae Francis performed a charming ‘diablo’ act.

Torkova took the stage and a few very magical things including restoring a $20 into 2-$10’s.

Handbalance and acrobatics was Bethany Shao’s specialty.

Bobby Hedglin-Taylor entertained the crowd with some very amusing character voices.

Aron Long performed a wonderful ‘Cyr’ wheel act.

The Great Dubini (Greg Dubin) performed some great magic using cards and a volunteer.

Host Keith Nelson performed a stunt where he caught an apple with a fork in it on a board.

Celebrated juggling author/teach Hovey Burgess made an appearance in a bear costume and did some foot juggling with assistant Miss Lixx.

Before Hovey removed his costume Miss Lixx fondled his fur.

Paris ‘the hip-hop juggler’ did nice a routine juggling basketballs.

Darren Yong did some lovely magic stunts involving a few audience members.Cleo Carol Knopf danced with silks flourishing beautifully in the space.

Ayla Weisz – Cyr wheel performance had a great personal style and beauty!

Ayla Weisz act was delightful and so visual.

Rondell Daniel Sinanan performed a mixed media piece with juggling umbrellas and slide projections.

Rondell Daniel Sinanan – Great skill and charm in this unique character act.

Cate Flaherty – Amazing skill mixed with ‘street performer’ charm. Stunning!

Cate Flaherty – While balancing on the rola-bola she juggled 3 balls behind her back.

The audience went ‘crazy’ watching her balance on a 5 level rola-bola. 

Vince – a comedy magician that talked like he just left Bensonhurst. Very funny!

Vince – he worked with the audience and brought more laughter.

Keith Nelson introduced the audience to a ‘new’ plate spinning act.

Zero Boy performed a ‘wild’ set of comedic vocal effect short stories.
