Bindlestiff Open Stage Variety Show – Quarantine Edition – April 20, 2020

This week’s edition of the Bindlestiff Open Stage had a terrific lineup of performers from all over the country. Usually presented at Dixon Place on the first Monday of every month, the Open Stage is now a weekly event on Mondays at 7:30 pm.

Bindlestiff co-founder Keith Nelson hosts the new ‘Quarantine Edition’ of the Variety Show

Jean Tae Francis performed a wonderful ‘Chinese yoyo‘ routine on the roof of an NYC building.

Logan Kerr performed a beautiful tight wire act outside in the woods.

The Lohr Family from Maryland did a 4 person club passing routine that was great!.

Brian Foley (Valley Variety) from Phoenix added ‘the littlest Vaudevillian to his act and sang a funny song about bananas.

Francis Stallings performed a stunning aerial act under the skies in Colorado.

Host Keith Nelson attempts the Kendama-Blockhead routine 3 times before being dismayed this time.

Honey Goodenough (as Funny Bunny) talked about the ‘human hibernation’ and was tickled pink that all the animals now had so much more freedom!

Curtis Eller sang a song about Busby Berkeley.

Ellie Steingraeber performed a wonderful routine (in her living room) which culminated with this hysterical ‘Hula-Hoop’ finale.

Zak McAllister and Stephen Doutt performed an assortment of unorthodox juggling routines in the kitchen including with toasters, skillets, toaster ovens, and electric mixers with oven gloves.

Next week on Monday at 7:30 pm another great show comes your way from the Bindlestiff Open Stage Variety Show Quarantine Edition!

The 5th Annual ‘Cirque Off’ – Triskelion Arts – Jan. 20th, 2012

The evening was filled with surreal imagery provided by some of NY’s very eccentric performers.

The evening started off with a group of stage hands working on cleaning up the stage.

John Leo and Andy Sapora got involved in removing a metal apparatus that was hanging from the middle of the ceiling. YIKES!
