Corn Mo and The Love Show ‘Show’ at The Slipper Room

The Corn Mo & Love Show Show

Last Monday every month at The Slipper Room.

Corn Mo sings one of his tunes for the audience to start off the show.

Featuring the magic of Matthew Holtzclaw. Seen here doing a fire magic trick.

Stage presence is such an important part of the magical performance and Matthew has it.

Laurie Lee Anderson and Sarah Conrad danced up a storm on one of the numbers.

The evening had an edgy feel to it when “Stache Novak” showed up to perform his ‘male strip routine.”

Introduced as the ‘bathroom attendant‘ he quickly removed his pants for the audience’s delight.

And then Laurie Lee Anderson (the winner of Miss Coney Island USA 2020) started her amazing act.

Ridding herself of the dinosaur head she immediately titillated the audience. An audience pleaser for sure she got to her basics real soon. Rockin the house with her jump rope routine Laurie Lee Anderson was wonderful.

Entertaining the audience with her unique looks and style.

“Jack and the Beanstalk” – A Holiday Treat for the family!

Back by popular demand! Following its 2017 New York Times Critic’s Pick world premiere, which introduced many New York audiences to the widely popular British art form known as the PantoJack & the Beanstalk returns this holiday season with even more radical joy. Jack needs the whole town’s support to help them chop down the beanstalk. In the process, Jack and their neighbors free themselves from their oppressor, the plundering Giant Rump. Written by disabled actor/writer Mat Fraser, directed by feminist artist Julie Atlas Muz and featuring an intergenerational, inclusive cast, Jack & the Beanstalk brings the Lower East Side together with a family-friendly holiday production that is inherently irreverent, lightly political, and has the message that eventually good triumphs over evil.

Dec 14th – 30th @Abrons Arts Center

$20 for December 14 performance
$25 for December 15-16 performances
$35 for December 20-23 performances
$45 for December 27-30 performances

Circus Amok Entertains in Prospect Park – Sept 17, 2017

On the warm and beautiful Sunday afternoon in Prospect Park last Sunday I attended the delightful antics of CIRCUS AMOK.

This was the last stop in a multi-park tour they did this summer. The Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Sunset Park and now Prospect Park.

Gathering together some of New York’s finest performers, Circus Amok is a real treat for audiences of all ages.

Founded and directed by the juggler, Professor (Pratt Institute) and former Coney Island USA Sideshow performer Jennifer Miller.

I captured some photographs and video of that day’s festivities. BUT if you really want to witness Circus Amok you have to see them LIVE!

I was there 15 minutes before the show and captured some backstage shots.
