Vaudevisuals interview with Dave Droxler and Marcus Stevens – “Walken on Sunshine”

Screen Shot 2016-08-12 at 5.17.23 PM

Written by Dave Droxler

Directed by Marcus Stevens

Cast: Maggie Carr, Dave Droxler, Jennifer Fouche, DeLance Minefee, Paul Pakler, Jonathan Spivey and James Rushin.

I first met Dave Droxler in 2013 when I did a video interview with him and Stolen Chair director Jon Stancato. They were bringing to the stage a wonderful film “The Man Who Laughs”. Dave gave a most amazing performance in that show. When he contacted me to do this interview regarding his play I was most interested in meeting him to do it. I am very excited to see this show! Please come and support Dave and this great cast!

Naked Brazilian – Gustavo Pace @Fringe Festival

Gustavo Pace

I have been photographing Gustavo for quite a few  years now. I shot one of his first performances in NYC in 2011.

He has been dedicated and very busy. Here is a glimpse of his bio:

He attended a full two years course at AMDA – American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York. Graduated in acting with a Master of Fine Arts from The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University.

Gustavo Pace was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for Theater/Acting. He obtained the Extraordinary VISA for Arts, based on shows and theater activities performed in the United States and Brazil.

He is now performing his new ‘original’ play “Naked Brazilian“.  Written, and performed by him. Directed by Stephen Brown-Fried.

We went walking around NYC yesterday and I did some shots to capture the mood of this play. Here is the description:

“Struggling against his father’s wishes to become a lawyer, a young man journeys from Rio to NYC  to make a case for his own destiny.”

Lord Buckley – ‘Dig Infinity’ @ The Fringe Festival

Having done the video taping for previous Lord Buckley ‘Birthday Bash’ at the Bowery Poetry Club and also being a big fan of Lord Buckley I had to ‘plug’ this play written by my friend and neighbor Oliver Trager (author of the definitive biography on Lord Buckley).
